 EC Approved SOLAS Marine Emergency Escape Breathing Device

1. The EEBD are designed and manufactured according to the International Fire-Fighting Safety System Rules which as passed by the MSC.98 (73) Resolution of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and became a compulsory and obligatory requirement on 1 of July 2002.

Application

The EEBD can provide constant fresh airflow and is used for personal escaping from a dangerous environment full of poisonous harmful air, smoke or lack of oxygen. Used for fighting fire, entering oxygen deficient voids or tanks, or worn by firefighters.

It consists of carbon fibre cylinders, full face mask, air supply valve, gas ducts and polybag, can provide individuals 15 or 20 minutes of constant gas for escape.

Emergency Escape Breathing Devices
 

1. The EEBDs are only used for escape from a compartment that has a hazardous atmosphere to provide personnel breathing protection. Not to be used for fire fighting, entering oxygen deficient voids or tanks, or worn by fire fighters.
2. There is a pressure gauge on the cylinder to indicate the cylinder pressure. The cylinder pressure of EEBD is not indicated by a pressure gauge during storage.
3. The hood is a flame resistant head over which completely covers the head, neck, and may cover portions of the shoulders, there is a clear window on it.
4. Easy to use, open the cylinder valve and put the hood on head when use.
