Ship Electric, Hydraulic Telescopic Stiff boom cranes are most suited for general cargo handling, and also for shipboard and offshore equipment with adequate deck space. These cranes are equipped with a winch for hoisting, they can luff, they can rotate, cannot be hydraulically extended and retracted, and they have no knuckle function.
Due to their simple design, stiff boom cranes offer a cheaper alternative to telescopic booms and knuckle booms, both in final price and maintenance costs.
