The Enclosed Lifeboats GRP Free Fall Lifeboat 150 Persons is a special life saving boat installed on the ship and used to rescue the crew and passengers in the event of a ship crash. It is powered by diesel engine and composed with floating material to prevent sinking when capsizing. There are LSA equipment such as fresh water, ration food, flares etc inside which can help the persons for survival. It is a mandatory device for sea vessels according to the SOLAS 1974. And it can increase the opportunity for the escaping when there is emergency situation occurred.
It can be named as Totally enclosed motor propelled survival craft which is made of FRP (Fiber Glass Reinforced Plastic), FRP is light weight, high strength, durable and sea water corrosion resistant. The lifeboat is self-righting and powered by diesel engine with speed over 6knots for emergency life saving. It is mandatory for SOLAS to install on the sea-going vessels.
Tanker version enclosed lifeboat is one type of life boat which is usually used for oil tanker, chemical tanker, gas tanker, offshore oil platform etc. It is installed with compressed air supply system and water spray system to protect itself when it is surrounded by the oil fire. And the outside material is fire resistant.
SOLAS 55Persons Offshore Platform Type Totally Enclosed Lifeboat is mandatory for the sea-going vessels. It is widely used on the ships for the emergency life saving of crews and passengers. The Min. size is 5.0m in accordance with SOLAS regulations. All the IACS members issue the certificate of the lifeboat according to the SOLAS LSA codes.
The lifeboats are approved by CCS, BV, ABS, DNV-GL, EC, MED, RMRS, IRS etc. And meets the following regulations:
1. Amendments to the international convention for the safety of life at sea, 1974.
2. International life-saving appliance(LSA), code MSC.218(82), MSC.272(85).
3. MSC.81(70), MSC.226(82), MSC.274(85) The resolution for maritime safety committee.
- Comply with the requirements and rules of SOLAS and Amendment 1996, LSA Code, MSC.218(82), MSC.272(85), MSC.320(89) & MSC.81(70), MSC.226(82), MSC.274(85), MSC.321(89).
- Boat body material:Fire-pretended type FRP.
- Fitted with stainless release mechanism and launched or recovered by falls.
- It can self-righting by itself when capsized.
- Equipments is equipped according to SOLAS requirement.
- The surface for walking is the antiskid.
- Equip a manual pump remove the ponding in the boat.
- Rubber fender is fitted around the boat.
- Running time of rescue boat when full-loaded&full-speed is more than 24Hours.

- Door was fitted at lifeboat stern and two side,Natural Ventilation is achieved via an automatic valve located on the front of superstructure. The valve will be above water in all heeling conditions(0-180 degrees).The Valve also prevents the the cabin from becoming dangerously under-pressured while the engine is running.
- A water Spray system is installed for fire protection.The Spray system consists of an engine driven pump,which takes seawater from the lowest possible location under the boat ensuring that no flammable liquid is drawn into the system.The spray system provides water over the entire surface of the craft(tanker version only).
- The compressed air system installed has a sufficient capacity to provide air for the maximum number of personnel and engine combustion for a minimum of 10 minuted.Toxic fumes or gas prevention have been made to recharge the air system from the ship's compressed air system(tanker version only)

The inboard diesel engine are Yanmar or BUKH which is with water jet pump. The boat winch is of two kinds of structures, left-hand and right-hand boat winch which are symmetric. It can be suitable for arranging on the parent ship whose deck are symmetric. The boat winch is of the functions of hoisting boat by electric, lowering boat by gravity and hoisting boat by manual as well as manual quick lowering device for empty hook.
